just got back over to the hotel from the hospital. .. sydney ate three square meals today so they have removed her from all IV drips and back to insulin shots, so thats a great step forward back towards "normalcy". .. kidney function continues to improve towards 'normalcy' as well (remember gang, urine is our friend!!!) . .. with any luck she will be out of ICU and onto a regular floor tomorrow. . .she is still really tired and feels like she's been hit by a truck.. . . she is greatful for all the support/love/calls/etc from this community. .. she plans to get on line and read every single message once she gets out of the hospital. . .
best way to know she is feeling better and on the road to recovery, is that she told me to F&^K OFF twice this morning ... only a healthy spawn curses at her dad that way!! . . .

That's great news Max. I am also a Diabetic and your story scared the HELL out of me. The 2nd time in one week that I have heard of someone going to the hospital with high sugars.

I haven't been on much and am just now catching up on the past couple of days events. I just wanted you to know how glad I am that your daughter is coming out ok in what must have been an absolutely horrifying situation. As a parent, it is all too easy to fear the worst; I can't comprehend it almost happening. My thoughts are with you and yours as she begins her recovery. -
