I am getting excited. After eyeing the Big Green Egg for years, I am finally close to getting one this winter. My propane grill has died after 6 years of life, and my electric smoker has seen better days. So, I’ve been visiting my local dealership, and I’m building a gift-list for my wife & family in honor of my birthday next month.

So, here’s what I’ve got on my list:
[ul]Large Big Green Egg
Large Nest
Large side shelves
Cast Iron Grid
Plate Sitter
Pizza Stone
Grill Gripper Tool[/ul]

I want to smoke (turkeys and pulled pork), sear steaks, and grill dawgs & burgers. My wife loves pizza, so I’m using that to my advantage here.

I’ve seen guys light these things with a propane torch? Good or bad idea? (Flame torches can’t be all bad, can they?)

What am I missing from the list? More importantly, how do I seal the deal with my wife??
