Weird ...Has this happened to anyone?

Seared to 1.5" thick ribeyes at 700 took off egg to rest and to cool down egg. 20 min later egg at about 410 put steaks back on closed lid after alloted time opened lid to flip steaks and just as i turned second steak over something popped hadr enough to raise cast iron grid an inch or so.(about jumped out of my skin) About made me sick to my stomach I just knew my egg cracked. After very careful examination nothing is cracked or broken and for the life of me can't figure out what would have caused this. But i am very glad my egg is intact...whew :ohmy:
