8-12 count Gulf bugs and a mess of chick wings for center stage eats. Good to be back egging again after our vacation.
I notched it up a bit by chilling the shrimp on ice right off the grill then pealed to make cocktail shrimp served with horseradish/ketchup sauce.
All the wings got DP Swamp Venom, my favorite DP seasoning blend. Some wings I finished with a sweet glaze and the rest got basted with Franks hot sauce.
Did I say it's good to be back?

Looks good was the time in the woods?

Thanks Fidel. Vacation was great, love the winter landscapes and some time off. Nothing like living in a log cabin to ease the soul. Sauna was good also.

The shrimp and wings look great! I'm sure it was nice to get back home and have some egged food. I really envy you on your escape to the "woods". Would love to get away and do some soul searching myself. I think everyone needs to do that now and then.

    Thanks buddy.
Took a nice hike up to Northern Minnesota along the North Shore of Lake Superior. Yeah, it was cold but the stars at night!!!! You could reach out and touch them. Saw northern lights, that was cool. The quiet beauty and time to think.......
Weather was at times a little tricky but we dress for it and we took my 'potato wagon', a subaru Forester. Heated seats, heated lower windshield, heated mirrors and all wheel drive all the time.
Now if I can just design a trailer to pull my egg along......
  • Looks fantastic but when I read your subject I thought it might be something like this.
