Well as some of you know my wife has been wanting a BGE chimanea for some time. We really need a small Egg but being layed off just hard to justify the expense. Was by my local BGE dealer the other day and asked him how much a chemanea would be. Great owner/operator of his store and runs it like it " use to be". Walks over and open up his dealer cost book and starts quoating price for the whole thing stand included. I just would not do it for that. I was asked not to say the price but it was really rediculas. Told him I would give him X amount and not a dime less. :pinch: :blink: (Did I just type that??!) Yep I did. Wouldn't let my pay tax at X price or he wouldn't sell me. Would like to give him a plug but asked not to. Just really nice that ther are still folks like that out there. Went by and picked it up today. Wife is gone to my Mom's making Christmas candy and since the 15th is our 18th anaversity she's been putting up with my no spelling, unstable self and since Christmas is almost hear and since I'm supposed to go back to work in Jan. or 1st of Feb. and because I just want to she's getting it today. Never let it be said that men arn't "sensetive" 
Couldn't find any ribbon but I thought a leingth of hay string made a fine ribbon. Tyed one on a small stick with a note on the counter for her to find when she gets home. Thank she'll be supprised?

Actuall he' died 3 years ago and I had him stuffed! Sort of like my pink flamingo "smoke bird"! :laugh:
Really he's cold and begging to come in which I will shortly. He's got a dog box with hay to get in but he'd reather be in my water bed!

Got to figure out some way to "hard pipe" the exaust threw the DP's Smoke Shack's roof so we can have it under cover and closer to where we are cook'en. Shouldnt be hard.

I thought everyone knew about Andy. He is a complete chow houd. About 5 years ago he went across the road steling cat food from the neighbors. They didn't care but there neighbor shoots cats and am sure the boy shot Andy. Cant prove it but he came home with his shoulder shattered and I pulled a .22 slug out of what was left of his shoulder. Healed up nice and barly limps. I hate cats on my Harley! Trust me but at least call and give me a chance to do something b4 you shoot one of my "kids" you know? Anyway he's trained just like a dog. Walks to the "cat pen" every morning and back to the house in the evening for the night. Got electified fence around the place so Sue doesn't go any where with out me!

I just do not get people that can hurt animals/pets! I am fine with hunting, used to hunt myself. But we have someone in town that is killing dogs! yesterday they found two Great Danes that had been shot and left a young one about a year and a 4 year old I think they were. this is the 4-5 time in the last couple of months. the dogs are not running free and they are left around the same area. it just makes me sick. go ahead and shot your neighbor, but you better leave their dog alone!

She might think you are being jolly for a different reason. Great gesture! I know she'll love it. I just hope that caged in wild cat in the picture, :silly: doesn't damage it somehow.

Why hard pipe the exaust? It should burn pretty much smoke free.

did you get a small grid to fit in it so you can do meat sears when it is burning?
next you have to get the s'more making sticks and weenie roasting sticks and the popcorn making, hand held basket and........... -

Took her a while to get a clue. Finnaly told her to unwrap the stick so she could use it and the light bulb slowly started comming on. 37 degrees and 20mph wind but she ran out to the shack and look on her face was pricless!! I think I done good!

There was only one very small mesh grill with this. It fits between the base and chimney OR in the bottom of the base. Is there a special grill like in the Egg that goes above the flame or just the mesh?

JL That just goes to show what a great type of guy you are....with all this job situation going around you and about 500,000 jobless last month in The States...wish more people understood the basics in life....and showed them to their wives...and children...Am I going too far??? :laugh: well ...you both deserve the best Christmas I certainly wish it for you!!!
