Been reading the forum for a while now, but I didn't have an egg yet. I finally got my large egg. Here is a pic of it still clean, it won't stay that way very long. And then another pic with my beer can chicken.
1/2 of a beer
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons liquid crab boil
1 tsp tony chachere's
the liquid crab boil makes it really good
rubbed in Tony Chachere's
1/2 of a beer
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons liquid crab boil
1 tsp tony chachere's
the liquid crab boil makes it really good
rubbed in Tony Chachere's

Welocme to the cult er... family..
Nice looking birds -
Nice job! Keep those pics around for sentimental reasons. I'll have to try adding a little crab boil seasoning to the beer next time- great tip. You are off to a good start.

welcome aboard!
i would use a foil covered drip pan to keep the plate setter clean, create a space between the pan and the plate setter by using 4x copper elbows/tees or foil balls or the ceramic 'feet' - to prevent dripping from scorching. i learned this from the experts in this forum!canuckland -
Birddog,
Great looking yard bird there!! I too have never used crab boil in my beer cans - I will have to try.
What kind of birds are you "bird-doggin"? I'm a duck and dove guy myself. -

That Tony Chachere's rub is good stuff. I did a couple of turkeys last week for an office party at my wife's place of work, and now I have at least two people from the party offering to pay me to cook their Thanksgiving turkeys for them this year, thanks to Tony. Both remarked that the rub was incredible. One took leftovers home and his wife ordered him to "get a quote" from me for their T-Day turkey.
