So now that I have my Stoker working I was curious on how one monitors the cook via thier work pc? Can I view/change things from a remote location?

By chance are you using a LinkSys router?
If so email your email address to me and I will forward some information.

I have enough knowledge on this type stuff to make me dangerious.
The jest of the information I had received is to set the router to allow the Stoker port (80) to be opened over the net.
It looks like port 80 is assigned to a specific ip address. For example in linksys I would assign the Application Stoker which used port 80 to specific ip address something like 192.168.1.102
Hope this helps you some.

In the linksys what was done was take the application 'stoker' which was is port 80. Then set port 80 for broadcasting outside of your local network.
From your post it sounds like you possibly ported back to the stoker ip address.
I have not done this yet as of yet but I think I know how to do it on the linksys.
As stated in my above post from your work browser screen you would just type in the ip address 192.168.1.102

You need to find out your routers IP address. Then with port forwarding to your stoker IP, you type in your routers IP from work and it should forward the request to your stoker. Some workplaces block this sort of thing though.
