I fired up my egg for the first time tonight and quite enjoyed myself! I let it run for about and hour while I adjusted the temperature up and down and tried to get a sense for it. After playing around I dropped some chicken breasts on the grill for 10 minutes per side at about 400-420 degrees while I waited for the internal temp to get to 165. My meat thermometer said the internal temp was around 145, but they looked done so I took them off. They tasted great but they were unfortunately overdone and were pretty tough. All in all I was was pleased, although I'll need to develop a better sense of timing. :S

I bought a rack of ribs and a pork tenderloin at the store today so I'm going to have a great weekend! :)

Woo, I'm excited!
