Stay safe my friends, this is a big storm!

Poor dog! Mine would be crying for sure or sitting in the garage with it to see what was for lunch! LOL Stay safe and it looks like you are almost ready. I don't think you can ever really be ready for these things! Julie

Same here... The Coop looks deserted. Never realized just how much krap (but treasured all) we accumulated.
With a lot of luck we will be able to put it all back together.
Found a place with 5 bags of ice left. Only selling one to a customer. Bought it. Now I feel ready.
Good luck.

has the wind started blowing there yet?. ...just saw on cnn where the water is already flowing down the streets of galveston. .. .isn't looking too good there!!
-
i ain't so goodly with the atlas, but from what i can tell, it's headed literally straight for you after galveston.
be safe.
i have no clue what i'd do, but at least in New England we have basements and foundations. where are you going to be when the sh*t hits the ceiling fan?ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
Over here in Austin we've got another day before any of this gets to us. We need the rain bad, but going from bone dry to heavy rains won't be good. Nothing like what you all are going to get though. I'm throwing on a couple of butts early tomorrow for a bday party tomorrow night. It ought to start blowing in here about the time I'm done....I hope no sooner.
Tie done the eggs and stay safe! -
As of five minutes ago we were getting 21 mph winds but we're 70 miles from the Gulf and 270 miles from the eye. That leads us to believe there will be more wind to follow. Time for a rum 'n coke.

Ike is one thing I don't miss about Texas. Up here where we grow potatos, we don't have hurricanes or tornados. But, regardless I'll get back down there one of these days.
Ya'll hold on tight!!
Good eggin'

You take care, Buddy. I hope that the October get together at Leroy's will still be a Coop-de-Do and not a Coop-re-Do.

man, i talked to chubby and ann about an hour ago. ..they were on the fence as to whether or not to bug out. .. i told them they should hit the road as the roads were clear at that time. ..the big issue for them is 'loss of power' . . .i tried to convince em. ..hope someone else might give em a call and tell em to get out as well. ..

Do you think some cinder blocks under the fridges might be a good idea?
-
Hey Leroy, did you tied the BGE koozies to the frame. You may have missed them.
Is Rodney Dangerbird safe? -
Blessings on you all. Everything you moved can be replaced. Ya'll cant!! Be safe!

BurntRaw,
Like Todd said. And good luck and God bless.

Some are preparing in a much different sort of way:
The guy I got it from says it's not Photoshopped and was just on Houston TV. -
Too little, too late. I offered a couple of the dog beds, but he would have none of it. I'm believing that they will be fine.
