Mr. Grandpas Grub and I have been back and forth with hair-brain (or in my case, Hairlees-brain) ideas with platesetters for our mini's. They are great for that personal pizza of 8 to 9 inches. We have talked about soap stone but they are hard to find and just don't have the mass. Well after a few Kegs of gin and sprite.
This is the result
start with fire brick.P9012781.jpg
mesure and cut off the corners. P9012786.jpgplace an extra grate ubder the fire ring.
P9012790.jpgdrop in the fire brick

all that you need now is a pizza stone and a pizza!

I would suggest you get the bricks and stone up to temp. dome at 550 degrees and hold for 3o minutes. Then throw on your pizza.
