Do you have to wait a full 24 hrs to start up the BGE after replacing the gasket?

A lot of folks say yes. And I believe BGE says 24 hours.
I have cooked on a new replacement in 7 hours time and again (different egg) in 10 hours time.
Both cooks were at lower temps.
Wait as long as you can.

Replaced mine this afternoon. I just put 2 butts on. I won.'t gp too hot, but a low and slow has been okay for me
