I used Alton Brown's "very basic bread" recipe. Turned out almost perfect -- crisp crust, nice crumb texture, just the right moisture.

Which is amazing, since this is the first time for me for this recipe and first time baking on the Egg.

We actually had an all-Egg dinner with the bread. Cowboy steak, baked onion and garlic, and roasted romaine. Yum yum yum.

  • Congratulations. To me, bread off the egg is just GREAT ! I do a lot of focaccia and pizzas as well.... Best thing is to cook off a chuck roast or a brisket, and while it rests, bake some bread for sandwiches .... Live is good :)
  • sounds good I must try that.
