if you have not done so please go to photobucket select account options [upper right] then select private.
as the default setting is public, if you have not done this, any pervert can view your pictures, purchase them or download them to a mobile phone and they do not need a photobucket acct to do so.. or even a computer just an internet enabled cell phone. may not seem important for food pics but many of us have photos of our loved ones or homes in photbucket. one of my woosday garden pics showed the street sign and another the house number, so much for privacy.
if i have not convinced you, imagine this ...
that pic of your good looking wife at the beach or cute little daughter or son , standing next to your new egg is now someone strangers screen saver..

I changed my setting the other day....won't work. I emailed Photobucket and they said I probably have to refresh the page. HOW do I do that? Thanks, Paul

Thanks for the heads-up. Mine was still set up for public viewing -- I was able to make the change, but based on the post above, I guess I need to go back to make sure it actually changed.

Looks like my change worked. You need to be sure that you go all the way to the bottom of the page and select save, after making the change.

Isn't your street name and house number in the phone book and everywhere else all over the internet?

you are right. it was just something i noticed about my pics when i was on my privacy tirade a few weeks ago..that someone could track down my house thru photobucket without knowing my name..and it just got me to thinking. i looked at some others albums and saw pics of their families.. then rtd posted the FAQ about public and private pics and so on..
