I got an email from Fred's yesterday advising that the new plastic Egg Shelves for my larges had shipped. I should receive them tomorrow and I plan to attach them on Saturday morning. I'll take some pictures to show y'all what they look like up close and what I think of them. Can't wait. I've needed four hands and two TV tables for a year and a half. Mark

Hopefully Fred will get 'em to quickly. Things like that always make you reflect, "how did I get along without them before?" Haha. Can't wait to see the pics.
-
I think you will like them. I saw some at the Mother Ship recently.

You gonna enjoy the extra space.
One thing I've learned with my corian tops is you need a trivet or something to set hot pans/grids on. Hate to see you melt or burn the plastic when in a hurry. Twww.ceramicgrillstore.com ACGP, Inc. -
RRP, no, just the sides. Still $220 with tax and shipping.
Thanks Tom. I'll make sure I remember to get some hot pads just for them. Can't wait to meet you in Atlanta! I seem to be saying that to everyone lately! I'm so excited to go and introduce my wife to the "real" world of Eggheads. Mark -
Thats a good point. I dont hesitate to set hot stuff on my wooden mates at all. Even if I char them a bit, it just adds character to the appearance of the egg.
I do like the fact the plastic shelves have more space. Also I have heard they are available for the "small". I am still a little skeptical since the lower band has no mouning holes. Maybe a retrofit kit comes with the small ones. -
WOW. $220? That seems like a LOT.
-
It is, but that is for two sets; one set for each of my Larges. They're $108.95/set just for the side shelves.
As long as they last and hold up well, it will be money well spent. Mark -
oh, wheww. Much better.

I think your wife will have a wonderful time. It will open her eyes that it is more than just about food. No plans for me this year on attending. Will meet somewhere down the road and have a cold one or two. Twww.ceramicgrillstore.com ACGP, Inc.

I'm sorry to hear that, but I also understand. I'm going to hold you to that beer(s) someday! Mark

I would call them back and cancel that order. I think he has made a mistake or maybe not.
Unless you are international the shipping should be less than $30.00 and the new side tables only cost $108.00.
