Drunk at the EGG

I tried this the other night because I had seen a post saying it was awesone. The post was grossly mistaken - this dish was phenomenal!. The after the cook basil butter can be used on literally anything! I also had very large Tiger Shrimp and the sauce was so addicting we ran out with a few chicken breasts to go. I will now have the Basil Butter on hand at all times!
Great Stuff!!

Garlic Basil Parmesan Chicken Breast

• 1 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
• 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
• 1/2 cup butter, melted + 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 1/3 cup fresh basil, chopped
• 1 Tbs Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
• 1 garlic clove, minced
• 1/8 tsp salt
Directions
1. Press the black pepper into the chicken breasts.
2. In a bowl mix the melted butter and 1/4 cup of the chopped basil.

Thanks. I think bill posted last night that he had tried it too and enjoyed it.
It really is a good recipe. My wife got the basic recipe from somewhere and we just tweaked it a little here and there. I actually use more basil than the recipe I posted and a lot more garlic because I like more of both.
I haven't thought to try it on shrimp, but that sounds great too. -
I did not see the recipe for Basil Butter...can you share it again? Thanks in advance....

fidel,
firestarter made it last night as well and posted pics[scroll down a bit] looks like you hit the big time with that one. 3 of us made "your chicken' last night and raved about it. i think it needs a "name" as azrp has "the chicken"
i vote for "fidel's chicken"

I appreciate the kind compliments, but it really isn't "my" recipe. I just played with one my wife found online somewhere and posted the results here.

I too added more Basil and Fresh Garlic.
