How much boston butt would it take to feed 25 people. Also, how would I calculate the time to cook since obviously I will be cooking multiple butts at one time. I have a large Green Egg. Thanks in advance.

I think all your questions, and then some, are addressed in there. -
I personally would cook 3 butts in the 7-8 pound range. Cook them all at the same time and make space in between them if you can. They will shrink a little as they cook.
You might add 10% to the total cook time. Plan on 15-18 hours, give or take at 250* dome temp. They will hold for 3-4 hours easily in a cooler before pulling, so shoot for the long side just in case.
Just make sure to use a big enough drip pan to catch the drippings. -

See responses to my post "more pork butt stuff" on 05/09/08 @ 11:10AM . Good stuff.

I used CW's calculation when I bought 85 lbs. to feed 130 at a June 7 graduation party, but he doesn't specify bone-in or boneless butts so I bought about 13 lbs. more than his calculation would indicated just to be on the safe side because the I bought bone-in butts. I would rather have leftovers than be short. Mark
