I have been eying the BGE for some time and been reading your posts religously. I am ready to pull the trigger on one. I am in Central Florida and been doing some research on Prices. I am looking to purchase a Large BGE and an Extended table. The best prices I have found seem to be online at sites like www.barbecues.com. I was curious if any of you have dealt with this site and your positive or negative feedback on the site. or others? I would hate to finally dive in and start off with choosing the wrong vendor. Thank you for your feedback and look forward to being an active member of this forum.

I think to factory BGE site has a statement about not honoring warranty if you order from internet retailer.
Best bet is to look for eggfest and buy a once used model. Call different dealers and check prices. -
The only issue I can see with purchasing online would be that your warranty is going to be void. According to the mothership (last time I checked) they will not honor the lifetime warranty on eggs purchased via the internet. :(

I had a horrible experience trying to buy an egg on line... the place wanted to charge me a 25% RE-STOCKING fee on something that wasn't shipped. I had to dispute it with my credit card company and finally after numerous calls I finally got it fixed. I bought eggs from my local dealer and I have nothing but praise for them. I have three eggs now Large, small and mini.

This is one purchase I would not order online for!! -
The downside to purchasing an egg online is that it does not come with the warranty. It also doesn't come with the support of a local dealer.Talk to your dealer and see if he will negotiate.

Here we go again. DO NOT BUY FROM ON-LINE DEALERS If you do the lifetime warranty will be voided.

Hi Dirty1,
I would check out Celtic Wolf's pick for an Egg dealer in Florida.... If he says they are A++++++ dealers you can bank on it. I have been egging since Sept. 06' Celtic Wolf has been here since I don't know how long  Anyway, good luck with your egg purchase it will be egg-ceptional :silly:

Any tips to find Celtic Wolf's recommendation? Sorry if this is a novice question for the site.

I think that what Pharmeggist is saying is to read your replies :silly: It is right there

I am a HUGE internet shopper but on this particular item and for the small difference, personally i purchased at a local Grill Store (support the local guy) and go back often for accessories, rubs, etc. The BGE site says that internet purchases are not warranted but the sales sites say differently. The day I purchased mine they were cooking out front of the store on it...and we were sold.Visit my blog, dedicated to my Big Green Egg Recipies at http://www.bigtsbge.blogspot.com You can also follow my posts on FaceBook under the name Keep On Eggin' or the link http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Keep-On-Eggin/198049930216241

If you're talking West Central FL I would recommend The Outdoor Kitchen Store on Kennedy Blvd in Tampa. The guys are great and thoer gourmet meat market next door is top notch.
