Broken plate setter

I've been waiting for a month for my dealer to get in a pizza stone and plate setter for my Lg. They keep telling me it's ordered and waiting on the truck. Called the mothership and they had plenty but the shipping was high so I kept waiting on the Dealer. I've heard "Should be in this evening" for three weeks. Unknown to me, my daughter got them from a dealer where lives and shipped it to me for my birthday. Came in today! Opened the box up to discover the plate setter in 3 pieces. Looked TNW site and he repaired a cracked cooker with JB Weld. Hope JBW will fix it. Poor girl got my looks and her mothers brain and shiped it in the box she got at the dealer. Didn't have the heart to tell her when I called her to thank her for my gift.

JB Weld is good up to 550 degrees, as I recall. You could exceed that probably with a 650 degree pizza cook, if you choose to do that. So, I don't know how successful it will be. But then you probably have little to lose. The Naked Whiz

Thanks Whiz. If it don't work will go and buy one(If the dealer ever gets them in!) Love your web site and that Spatchcocked Chicken!

I replaced a broken leg using JB weld. It has been nearly a year with no troubles, including high temp pizza cooks. I wonder if the inurance for the shippe would cover it?

p.s. don't set a hot platesetter down hard on pavement, the legs won't like it. -
If shipped by FEDEX, DHL or UPS there is $100 insurance included. Make a claim.
If shipped USPS there would have to have been insurance purchased and the package should have had an insurance stamp on the front.
Else, JB Weld.

I'm glad your sensitive to your daughter's love -- worth far more than a plate setter!
