This is officially my last post on the Old Forum. I decided to follow Leroy's lead and join the 21st century. It's been quite a ride here in the Old Forum - I've learned VOLUMES of information, and not just about cooking. Most of what I am able to do on the Egg I owe to the advice, tips, pics, and encouragement of the wonderful folks that I have met here.[p]Thanks WMK, for many great years here and much more to come - I am sure - on The Other Side.[p]See you all next door . . . .[p]TRex

TRex, I'll see ya there as soon as I get my e-mail confirmation. I signed up yesterday. If the e-mail reply is automated, then I have a problem. If the webmaster has to generate the e-mail I'm waiting patiently.

I wouldn't stop posting here only to post there. When it's ready to go the new forum will be moved here. I'd suggest you post here and keep track of stuff here and go and play and help the new forum also. Of course I'm not the one doing all this but that is the way I believe it will work.

TRex,[p]I thought the term "test version" was just that....a chance for the bugs to be worked out before officially making the switch. It does seem that the problems are minor so far, which is good. I'm going to wait for the all clear before switching.[p]~thirdeye~

The bad thing is, there really needs to be a clean break between the two. With some people only looking at the old site and some replying over here, the people looking only at the old forum will miss replies. If we are moving to this one, we need to use this one, regardless of the url that it will finally be at, or the confusion will only make the transition worse.

I had the same problem. Try hitting the ACTIVATE button, and it should send
an e-mail to you.

I guess I didn't realize that we were still in the testing phase - I just thought we were going to operate in "dual mode" until everyone found their way over to the neighbor's house. mad max beyond eggdome,[p]Yes, you are already registered on the new forum, but since it's been a while, you may have forgotten your password. And, additionally, we have been having problems getting the registration emails through due to a recent hacker attack on our server -- all hackers should be shot -- oops need more coffee:-). So, you may be having problems getting a new password from the server.[p]Due to these problems, and since we're all used to having no password, for any who cannot reset their password, I'll check the "use blank password" box for you, then you'll be able to login with an empty password. I suggest then changing it immediately by editing your profile once you're logged in.[p]WMK
