Hello I am a newbie
Options
Hi Eggheads, I purchased my large big green egg 2 weeks ago and have discovered nirvana. the food cooks quick and taste better then any grilled food i have ever seen. I loved the old weber charcoal grill but the work of charcoal was horrible. I was given a gas grill and sacrificed taste for convenience. I moved and gave the gas grill to my soon to be ex husband. I missed grilling and my sister had a bge and wouldn't hear of me using any other kind.
tonight I am splatching a chicken and soaking my hickory wood chips in spices and red wine, just experimenting really. I plan to keep searching for recipes and getting advice from all you experienced eggheads. hi , rachael

rabrijumo,
Welcome to the land of eggheads!! I hope you enjoy your egg as much as I and seemingly everyone has. One thing though, you really don't need to soak you wood chunks, they work equally as well dry as they do soaked, maybe better. Just keep coming back here for all kinds of tips and recipes. Again welcome, Bucky

rabrijumo,
I also recently switched from the Weber to the BGE. Good luck!
