Ronster OK,[p]My ECB is sitting in the garage, providing a happy home for brooding spiders. After a few times with the Egg, everyother cooker I had seemed about as handy as a coffee can filled with burning twigs. You will be astonished at the versatility, and in most cases, the ease that the Egg affords.[p]When you get time, browse through the archives. There is a ton of good info and recipes there.[p]gdenby

Pharmeggist,
Thanks all...We are moving to Tulsa next week from Tampa. My first meal there will definately involve the EGG...studying up for now and it looks like there is a lot to learn from everyone here. Any special prep for the first use on a new EGG?....large.

Ronster OK,
I thought of one thing your egg comes with a cookbook ignore most of it except page 30 which shows you how to calibrate your thermometer do that right away. The Large egg requires more lump than the book states. DOn't forget to tear out and fill out the green warranty card and mail it in. As far as the recipes are concerned the cook times are way to short. If you need help check out things in this order. FIrst check this forum, Second BGE DVD, and last the BGE cookbook. If you think of any questions in the meantime don't hesitate to ask. Looking at the naked whiz website should get you going real fast.
