OT: Peach Puzzle

Options
Came across a recipe for this peach dessert:

https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/peach-puzzle.amp

Good peaches are still available, so decided to give it a whirl. Couldn’t keep the peaches intact while pitting them. No biggie.

Pretty good, but I think I prefer cobbler.

The selling point of this seems to be “oh look… how did the syrup end up in the cup?” I’m not so sure that many folks would care.

Still delicious, though! I’ve got my ice cream ready :)

The eye appeal doesn’t do it for me. But, the taste is what matters.

Cobbler would trump this pie for me.

Oh ya... it was a hot, but tasty, mess. I'm sticking with cobbler, too.

Looking good @caliking we have peaches running out of our ears, luckily they are different varieties and seem to be producing at different times but I will keep this recipe.

    Gotta love a tasty mess.
I just like a thick dough on a cobbler better than pie.
    Apple dumplings is even better.

It took a tad more effort than cobbler, and a tad less than baking a pie from scratch.

There was a nerdiness quotient about making it, which was the incentive :)

i get it, that's the fun part about all this nonsense, it's still fun to try.  if not, might as well go get the mcdonald's pie!
