BBQ Shrimp and Cheese Grits

My wife and I just got back from our first real trip to New Orleans about a month ago. One of the dishes we fell in love with was BBQ shrimp. Did my best to recreate it on the egg tonight and I was pleasantly surprised how good it turned out. Loosely followed Malcolm Reed’s recipe for this with a few minor alterations.

What temp and how long did you cook it? I love Cajun and would consider doing this

It’s definitely one you should try. The whole dish comes together pretty quick, under an hour really. I ran the egg at 350 the whole time. The longest thing timing wise was bringing the andouille up fo temp. After that, you’re talking maybe 15-20 min. The sauce is really pretty simple. This is the recipe I used more or less except I didn’t have his brand of hot rub so I used creole seasoning for the shrimp and added additional creole seasoning, dried rosemary, and hot sauce to the sauce.Srpete01 said:What temp and how long did you cook it?
