Big thanks to the CGS for materials. Just getting around to planning the layout. Going to have half of it hinge open to add charcoal. This is for an XL.
Going to Tig well it together. Planning on using something like a piece of stainless bushing on opposite ends to work like a door hinge. The two pieces on the left are supports for the flapping hinge.
Just hope it doesn't warp. I'll be just tacking it all together as fast as possible.
I would rather bend a piece like this but I think it would be too hard without the proper wire bending equipment.

I got to do a whole pig one of these days. 60 is pretty big. That the max size for an XL?XL aka Senior, Mini Max aka Junior, Weber Q's, Blackstone 22, Lion built in, RecTec Mini 300, Lodge Hibachi, Uuni, wife says I have too many grills,,,,how many shoes do you have?

Not sure if the max size is 60. But without being really creative it was.

Throwing an option out there for those of us that dont possess the awesome welding skills that @speed51133 has:

It looks like many of the sizes would fit all but the largest egg. -
