I purchased a BGE XL a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier! I broke her in (to me anyway as it was an EGGfest demo) with a reverse-seared cowboy steak for dinner and then a 17lb. Prime packer brisket, both came out great. Since then I've done baby backs, more steaks, another packer, corned beef for pastrami and a pork shoulder. I love the added space over the 18" size kamados (yes, I own a KJ Classic). I'm looking forward to discussing more cooks, accessories (maybe a nice charcoal debate, haha) and getting to know some of you fellow eggheads!

P.S. You should consider creating a gap under the egg in between your stone base. Want some airflow in there to cool it, may prevent cracking. You can use taracotta plant holders from Home Depot if you weren't given "egg feet".
