New Table Build Questions

I've decided to move my kamado joe out from under my covered shop to the patio attached to the house to make kitchen access easier.  I've already moved the blackstone and it's much nicer being closer to the house.  So with the move we're debating building a table since I'll be losing the table beside where I use the kamado now.  What are typical table dimensions?  I have about 5 feet of space to work with.  I planned to offset the kamado to the left side.  Is 5 feet of table even worth building a table for?  I'm handy with woodworking and enjoy it so that part will be fun.  Just wondering if I'm better off with side shelf space or table space.  Thoughts?
