Bacon Burnt Ends

Options
I've bought the large and thick strips of bacon from Costco. I want to cut them into cube and make bacon burnt ends. I plan on seasoning the bacon with Infidel Rub made by a veteran owned company called Grill Your Ass Off before I smoke them. I'll take them off around 2 hours and smoking at 250-275 degrees. I plan on bathing them in BBQ sauce at this point. My question for you all is this, should I also season them with some brown sugar and honey before I put them back on to smoke?

Any other tips or ideas are welcome too!
