Cracks

I found in my spring cleaning a crack in the lower exterior of my large. I shot my dealer a picture and he said he would file my claim. He emailed me back and said approved and will have it in stock in two weeks. I was cleaning my small and found a hairline crack in the firebox. Almost all around. I shot my dealer pictures and I said can I pick them up both together. He said yes. I am gathering an inventory because I already have a large and small firebox unopened. My question is this. If you can see enough from my picture what are your thoughts on keeping my cracked lower egg as a small fire pit? I should be okay as long as I cannot see fire from the outside. Right?
