Golf Between Baltimore and Myrtle

I've noticed a bunch of east coast golfers on here and was hoping I could solicit a recommendation or two. Me and a group of buddies are headed down to Myrtle in a month or so (my first time in Myrtle) for a bachelor party and are leaving the Baltimore area early on a Wednesday with plans to play a course somewhere in between. I was thinking 'The Cradle' at Pinehurst could be fun but I'm not sure everyone else is down for an executive course and I'm not sure how easy it is to get tee times there, any ideas? TIA!
Oh, somewhere in the $75 dollar range would be good, nothing too fancy.

Definitely check out to Tobacco Road in the Sandhills area. It’s the most unique golf course you’ll ever play.

Where you playing in Myrtle Beach? I'd be more helpful on that front if you need suggestions.

No clue, my buddy has been there a few times and is doing most of the planning, anything we shouldn't miss? We are planning to look for value most of the time but are going to spend for a steezy place once, I'll ask them what they had in mind.

Tobacco Road in the Pinehurst are is a must if that area is a stop. I also really enjoy Mid Pines if you have a second course to play in that area.

Buy a yardage book if you play Tobacco Road. Very much a necessity to navigate that track.

We are now thinking we will hit Pinehurst, play the cradle, eat, play the cradle again, hit thistle dhu then be on our way. Tobacco Road looks rad but I dunno if we need to get that serious that early in the trip, the plan at Pinehurst seems to be a good way to get some of the Pinehurst experience without breaking the bank. Anyone played the cradle?

Mid-pines is a classic pinehurst course with the dome shaped greens. Usually run decent deals and will pair a round with a night in the lodge. Pine needles is their sister course.
Mid Pines is short at something like 6500 from the tips- but don’t let it fool you. You need short irons into those greens.
