I’d like to thank ya’ll for the wealth of knowledge on this site. I have been reading on here for a couple years, doing searches and such. I finally joined. It took me a while to get approved to post for some reason.
Anyway I own a medium BGE that I love. I am still learning how to use it after a couple of years. I did my first Boston butt for Christmas this year and it turned out good. I read on here and followed advice I found in old posts. I just ordered a Smobot yesterday to help out with the low and slow overnight cooks. I’m looking forward to learning from you guys on here. Thanks for adding me to this group.

I was really happy with the way it turned out. The bark was a little salty. I’d like to have it less salty next time but other than that it was great.

Welcome, I'm new as well, and it took almost a week or more to get approved to join. I thought I'd done something wrong. That's a good looking pork butt. Did you get one with the bone in?

Yes it was a bone in butt fresh from the meat market.
No injection. It wasn’t bad salty, and after sitting in the fridge overnight after pulling and mixing together it was even less salty.
The pork itself wasn’t salty just the bark.
