You may want to try your next butts without injecting them. I have found no difference in the end result.

Long time ago I did 2 side by side butts—one injected and one not. The injected one was more moist and had better flavor to me. So I inject. Others don’t.

Put my in the "I like to inject my butt" group. I inject w a mixture of vinegar, white and apple cider, ketchup, hot sauce, and spices.
Would love to hear what you inject your butts with. Bonus points if you do it in a slow, deep, Barry White-esque voice!

No bonus points for voice. Lol. I use: 1 c pineapple juice, 1 c apple juice, 1/2 c brown sugar, 1/4 c kosher salt, 2 T Worcestershire sauce, 2 T soy sauce, 2 T Cholula hot sauce, 1 T dry mustard. Combine and heat until dissolved and cool down before inject. This is a Dr Bbq recipe. This easily does 2 10# butts so you could probably reduce all ingredients by 25% size if you want to.

You are welcome. I should have included in first post. For rub I just coated with yellow mustard and used the Costco rib rub. I find it less salty than Bad Byron’s butt rub
