Pellet Shopping

hey everyone, I'm trying to find some smoking pellets for some cheese this weekend. But I can only find 20 - 40 lb bags, I really don't want that much especially since I don't know what flavors i'm going to like. does anyone know where I can find small bags like 1 -2 pounds if that's possible? thanks

wherever you get it, buy apple for cheese. this is a good wood to get started with. the smoke flavor is not too intense, but you know it is there. cherry would be the next level up, and I would stay away from hickory unless you like it strong, and mesquite in my book would be crazy for cheese. But that is me, others would think I am crazy, but hopefully this gives you a perspective. good luck. smoked cheese rocks.

I have some pellet guns and it's pretty easy to find small amounts of pellets.

have seen mention over the years that treager pellets are faked, hickory is made from oak with flavor oils added etc. make sure what you are getting is what you want
