Stick with the table nest. Unless you wanna buy for nostalgia reasons only.

I use mine all the time to elevate the frying pan up a bit in the Mini Max,  and in the large to elevate the pizza stone.  Never used them as actual feet.

They certainly don't provide an air gap approaching the magnitude of that of the table nest.

I'd stick with a table nest, but would probably buy them anyway.

Then I'd store them until I realized I was never going to use them

I have 3 sets of them. One is used as the feet in the table. The others I use all the time. I will cover a pizza stone  with tin foil and put a couple feet under the tinfoil to create a hump in the middle to let the grease run off when I use it for indirect cooking. I use them on my table to put hot items on it. I use them to lift pans off the stone or separate stones. They have a lot of uses......
BTW mine came with the eggs I bought years ago.

I played this scenario out in my mind numerous times as well.  :)

I've got 2 sets and since my eggs are in nest the only use the feet get are for drip pan spacers or as feet to sit the DO on if I use an indirect stone.

I think I have five sets. Used them to elevate stone when I used to do pizza in the eggs. Now I just store them like mentioned earlier in this thread.
