Boston Butt Drip Pan content Ideas

Fellow Green Eggers,  I'm in a bit of a quandary and seek the sage smokey wisdom of my fellow egg heads.  I've cooked more than my share of butts and shoulders.  I've tried a few cooks without any drip pan, enjoying the sear on the conveggtor as the grease falls, and a few with the drip pan with an assortment of contents.  I've noticed that without a drip pan with liquid the butt seems a bit dry.  I'm just taking a poll among the others on this board as to what you do, drip pan, or no drip pan and if you do go the drip pan route....what do you fill it with to avoid drying your meat?
