Get a full packer from Costco.  Flats are tricky little beasts.
They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. That's against their interests. - George Carlin

I normally buy the 16 lb full packers from there however I was hoping to fit a shorter cook in. It's been about 4 years since I cooked just the flat.

Cook time-wise they respond the same as the packer (in approximate hours/lb at a given temp) since the packer finish-line is driven by the feel in the flat.  Now the cook itself is a different animal based on the lean cut of beef.
Talk with the Costco meat cutters and see if they will take a prime packer and separate it for you or do it yourself.  Then you get a flat and separate point to cook.  Reason I offer that is that around here the Costco packers are prime cut and their stand-alone flats are choice.  FWIW-
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
