OlatheMike,
They are great with steaks. I personally don't beleive in marinating steaks, unless you call a 1 hour room temp setting with EVOO/Cowlick marinating.[p]Mike

OlatheMike,[p]Never tried 'em with steaks, but I have with chicken and ribs. One word: AWESOME! And wait until you smell the smoke! It will drive your neighbors crazy, so just be prepared to shoo 'em away or make lots of food.

Jack Daniels chips and steaks are awesome. Would not use any other woods.

Local Kroger has 'em here for 5 bucks a bag. Might want to check there.

Bucky Buckshot,
i love em. ..and i see them being sold all over. .. just about any place that sells grills/accessories ... . hardwares stores, etc. .. ..
-
OlatheMike,
i love them. ...just throw a hand full on the fire, then add your food, be it steaks, chicken, chili, stews, etc. . ..about the only thing i don't use them for is fish, but i don't like much smoke on any fish (thats just me) .. .. a bag of jd chips is a great thing to have around. ..

mad max beyond eggdome,[p]Like you said everyone's taste is different. I love the JD chips, however about the only time I use them is when cooking salmon.[p]What are some of your favorites meats to cook with the JD chips?[p]Jethro
-
Bucky Buckshot,[p]Walmart has 'em ($4 a bag if I'm not mistaken).
