Let's see what the fuss is all about with this stuff. Finally found it locally here in tn. True value hardware had it. 8# butt going on all day with a mojo/Byron butt rub 50-50 mix. Trying something different.

Are you going to add any smoke. What I love about Rockwood is the neutral smell.. Look forward to seeing the end result. Have a great day..Greensboro North Carolina

Not sure your temp range you want to cook at, but you may want to fill the fire ring and not just the fire bowl.Large BGE - McDonald, PA

This is after a 12 hour butt cook. Haven't added any lump then what was added above. I'm a convert. Pork was great and still have plenty of lump for another cook. I did stir up this morning since I'm about to cook bacon on it this morning.Franklin, Tn

Indeed- as someone mentioned, I enjoy Rockwood for the neutral but tasty flavor. It lights quick with my looftlighter, and it lasts a great while, with minimal ash.
No place around me sells it, but got my local mom and pop Ace to start carrying it, and they've been extremely happy with folks coming back to buy it. I think they've completely stopped stocking Cowboy which is all they had other than Kingsford.
I don't use anything but Rockwood, and transport some to our place in NC to use on a barrel smoker/grill as well.-FATC1TY
