plan to cook some chicken thighs, should i cook direct or indirect and what temp. any info would be appreciated

    uncle,[p]Honestly it depends on whether you want grilled or smoked chicken. Grilled chicken do about 350 direct until the chicken is about 165. Smoked chicken, indirect about 2 hours at 225-250, again chicken temp about 165. Either way you'll get great results, its just a matter of how much time you want to spend cooking the chicken.[p]Troy

    uncle,[p]Sprinter is absolutely correct, I just want to add some info. We have many times cooked thighs to 200-205 internal (cooked direct at 210-220F for 4 hours) with very nice results. When cooked this long, the texture is like breast meat but flavored like mild thigh meat.[p]Spin
