Pizza pizza

had friends over tonight and made a few pizzas. Got the egg up to 650-700, made 6 pies total. We had a high temp of 6 today so it was interesting to be outside in shorts grilling pizza.

Toppings
mushroom pesto and hot itslian ground sausage.
Pep mushroom and hot peppers
spinish sausage pepperoni and black olives
pepperoni and cheese x2
last one had everything on it.

Guest didn't let me get many pictures, they killed the pizzas as fast as they came off

Looks really good, although my preference is to have all of the toppings on TOP of the cheese.

Good looking pizza's, did you use a special kind of flour at that high of a temp to keep them from burning on the bottom?

@blukat my wife makes the pizza dough, and I couldn't tell you exactly what's in it. I know she uses double 0 and put almost no sugar in it. I think that's the key no sugar to cooking pizzas at high temps. The other thing is she makes it 24hrs in advance and it sits out on the counter in proofing box.

@johnmitchell thanks, for the photo compliment, the ting to take pics while people are grabbing the food is always fun. They also tend to look at you funny, don't know why doesn't everyone have photos of food on their phone.

Thanks @bluebird66 it's always fun to make pizza for a bunch of people. Everyone had a great time "helping" with making them.

On a positive note I sold an egg to one of the women there (24yrs old) because she wants to cook good food at home. I thinks she's going to get a lg.

@Dredger I wish I had one of those rotisserie chickens you make to go with pizza. I keep showing my wife the photos of your post and telling her we may just need to go get an KJ classic or lg egg. I don't know if I can hold off until the big joe/XL model is available.

@ryantt, thanks. I also keep finding uses for the chicken off the rotisserie. I think chicken soup is next. It would make killer pizza. I hope someone chimes in on the ETA for the rotisserie for the XLBGE.
