My first batch of ABT's

Decided to try some ABT's this weekend. Started with some ground turkey which I browned up and used a taco seasoning pack. Then I took a dozen or so jalapenos and cut them in half and removed the seeds and veins. Stuffed the jalapenos with the taco meat and sprinkled on some shredded cheddar. Of course then wrapped each one with a slice of bacon. Then applied a generous dose of "Swamp Venom".
Cooked on the egg direct at 350 with a raised grid. Used a drip pan below (so I guess it was kind of indirect). Did them for about 45 min's and then flipped for another 15. Here is how they turned out. Everyone loved them!!! Will definitely make them again soon.

Most eggcellent right there. And your imagination is about the limit for what you can load them with-enjoy the next batch.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Those look absolutely perfect! I haven't made them in a long while, but the last time I overcooked them. They were still tasty, but almost "French Roast" on the outside...
Great job! -
Those look great and I like your idea about stuffing with the ground turkey. I've got a bit of homemade Italian sausage (that was not enough to stuff into casing) that I may use, in lieu of, and make some of those this weekend.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada

Looks good. I mix ground sausage with grated cheese and cream cheese and stuff that in the jalapeno.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I was thinking sausage but just happen to have the ground turkey... so... went for it. As others have said, I think your imagination is the limit for what you can do with these. Might leave a few seeds in next time too.Long Island, NY

Ok, so you can all laugh at me, since I've been around for quite some time now. I have no idea what ABT stands for?
