Coming up fast, have a hubby who loves the egg (I do too!). We have a woo, pizza plate, but that's about it. How about something less than the computer thingy for long smoking. We also have the great instant read thermometer.

Agree. 735 is Bluetooth and not great range. 733 has great range. Little quirky on the set up, but easily overcome.

Then skip the maverick. You don't need it for short cooks. Instant is fine.

How about some cast iron? A Lodge Dutch Oven is great for beans, stews, even cornbreads and baked items. Or a CI griddle.
