Dizzy Pig

Options
I'm looking at ordering some Dizzy Pig seasonings for the first time. I'm going to go with the "pick four" option and wanted to know what are the most popular you like? they would mainly be used for pulled pork, ribs and wings.

Thanks

Swamp Venom on wings is excellent! Dizzy Dust is a kind of "fit all' type seasoning. It is good on butts and or ribs.

It really depends on your coking habits, that being said here's my 2 cents

    Red Eye Express
    Raging River
    Raising the steaks
    Jamaican Firewalk

There are many great ones, I just feel these are the four I cannot substitute others for.

+1 on Raising the Steaks. It is guaranteed to be on steaks but often on chicken, veggies, or any other beef.

If using on only larger roasts like butts, get the course grind of Dizzy Dust, but the regular grind does allow more flexibility on use.

Shaking the tree is fantastic on chicken - and I think everyone eats chicken. My wife will not eat chicken now without it.

My family loves Red Eye Express and Cow Lick.  We use them both on beef and pork.  Tsunami Spin is awesome on wings and Shakin The Tree does well with pork and chicken for us.  Those are the 4 I would buy.

If I had to chose just 4 I know my order would be:
Raging River - great on chicken and pork
Cow Lick - love it on burgers
Raising the Steaks - obvious use
Dizzy Dust - great general purpose but also great on pork butt

If I had to settle on four,

Shakin the tree is good on chicken, fish and pork.

    I also like Dizzy Dust.

    Cow Lick

    Raising the Steaks.

With that said I have most of the DP rubs. They are great people to deal with so I buy direct from them.

@Philly35 This is really good on sweet potatoes!  Cubed and roasted.

I should add that I coat with oil in a gallon zip lock bag then add the pineapple head and cook them in a baking pan around 375-400 raised direct flipping occasionally. I sprinkle more pineapple head after I flip the potatoes

@konablue50 I just went through the same dilemma! I ended up ordering the 4 pack plus 2 additional because I couldn't narrow it down to just 4 :D

    I went with:
    Dizzy dusty - course& regular
    Tsunami
    Cow like
    Swamp venom
    Shaking the tree

I have used 5 of the 6 so far and been pleased with the results! Shop have other taste testers.

Smallest yolk loves it on chicken. I like it on grilled corn and any fruit. Try grilled bananas with PH. THANKS @Ozzie_Isaac

    pineapple head is amazing!

I like their ish line now too.  Fajitish, and Mediterraneanish are great

dizzy dust is also fantastic.  I purchased 10 containers that I am trying to get through, but I love each one I have tried

    +1 on Susan's suggestion.

$11 plus shipping for a 11 rub sample pack and you'll be able to try all the original rubs ... test on your own taste buds.  Add another $4.40 plus shipping and you can add the "ish" sample rubs to the shipment and really round out the test.

I received the Dizzy  5 pack sampler via a friend and it was (actually still is) very helpful to sort out what the wife and I like.  A couple or their rubs came out on top and are our go to rubs ...

It's great on all grilled fruit. Don't take my man card but it's really good on cottage cheese, very good on wings also! Pineapple Head on grilled pineapple and vanilla bean ice cream will make you a hero. Just my 2 cents.

Go for the sample pack.  It's a good buy and you can then find out what you like best.  If I could choose only four, I would get:

Dizzy (Salt Free) - pork butt and ribs
Swamp Venom   (I use a mixture of Dizzy Dust and Swamp Venom on ribs.)
    Raising the Steaks
Raging River - great on salmon.

    Two more?
Pineapple Head.  I only use it pineapple, but it elevates grilled pineapple to a whole new level.
Simply Zensational. Any time I cook something with an Asian flavor (e.g., Vietnamese chicken wings, Philippine pork, etc.), I always add a teaspoon of Simply Zensational to the rub.  Very tasty.
