MM wok size

I'm getting ready to buy a wok setup. I am thinking about going for a 16 inch setup for the large. But am considering getting one for the MM instead.

What size works for a MM? 12 inch is my guess.

Anybody have pros vs cons for large vs MM wok cooking?

I was leaning towards the large because it is on a nest, my MM for now is on the ground.

I have woks for the large and mini. They both work, just about cooking surface.
The large is a bit of a pain since it gets so hot and the wok is down in the egg on the spider.

It's a toss up, MM will get hotter faster and be more efficient with the lump though. Give the MM a shot if you can find the right size wok to sit on the woo.

I believe it's the 12". I've seen a few Wok cooks here lately on the MM. Maybe one of them will chime in.

Here is a 12" wok on the small egg to give you an idea. I prefer my wok with the helper handle to this one though.

@SkinnyV wouldn't flipping the spider over solve this problem? Maybe a wok ring? I ask cuz I want one

@grege345 I have a D handle 16" wok and that's what I do. Flip spider, legs on top of fire ring not in the indentions and it puts the handles above the felt. Works for me.

yeah some good gloves too. I can manage it just gets hot thats all. My mini wok has a handle so its easier to handle and does not sit so far into the egg. I was thinking a similiar handled wok would be good for the MM.

I wont be getting another but for people looking to get into it,

I believe on the MM if your using the WOO the 12" round bottom Wok fits perfectly. Would want a ring to sit on the table though.
