Getting a Table for Xmas

Wife is having a table made for my large for xmas. Should I ask for the egg to sit in the middle of the table or to one side?

I was thinking I'd like to have a propane burner on one side and the egg on the other, but I wanted to hear from some of y'all.

I prefer to have the egg offset to one side or the other. I feel it maximizes table room

I agree with having the egg offset. I built 3 tables for Christmas last year (one for me and two as gifts). My father wanted his egg to sit in the middle, and after using both mine (offset) and his, he much prefers the offset version. The table room is definitely maximized.

Offset, if you're gonna cut in a burner, you're eating up workspace. Need to maximize with offset.
