Ceramic Grill Store Adjustable Rig Question

I am thinking about getting an Adjustable rig from the ceramic grill store to expand my cooking space and was wondering how it works with the Plate-setter. Also a second egg has been thought of, but I lack the space in my town home.
And for your amusement.,..

It doesn't work with the plate setter. You need a spider and ceramic stone, or an oval stone that will fit in the AR. CGS does sell sets, I believe.

If you have any eggs smaller than an XL, then you are correct that the plate setter is not useable with the AR. I have an XL and I use my plate setter with my AR all the time.buzd504 said:It doesn't work with the plate setter. You need a spider and ceramic stone, or an oval stone that will fit in the AR. Recently got the AR. Have not yet used the spider, but using the ceramic stone in place of the Platesetter created one of the best pizzas I've done many successful raised direct cooks as well.__________________________________________It's not a science, it's an art. And it's flawed.- Camp Hill, PA

Yep buy a spider and stone plus enough slide guides and oval racks to have 3 levels. Buy some extra crossbars too

The AR is a good purchase for the egg. Get one of the packages and you can sell your platesetter. They are useless with the AR.Dave - Austin, TX

For the XL, I find the plate setter does a good job working in concert with the AR.Flint, Michigan

Or get the WOOII and use your platesetter. Buy a weber replacement grate and some SS nuts and bolts and add a second level to your existing BGE grate. That's how I did it for the large egg. Just a thought....LG BGE...PSWOOII-CI...PLATESETTER...THERMAPEN...MAVERICK-ET-733

Anyone have a pic of the AR with plate setter in an XL. I would like to see the setup because I'm interested in buying one. The more pics the better

So if I buy the simple rack what other grids and bars would I need for the XL
It looks like you could have 5 levels of cooking
