Cabins at the Florida Eggfest

For those of you who snagged up the cabins, I'd like to ask a for a favor or two...[p]1) Some of the folks at the Mothership would like to come to our party, but there are no cabins open. If any of you would consider sharing a cabin with another egger, thus freeing one up for the BGE team, I'd LOVE to be able to have them come and join us. Email me if you'd like to discuss it.[p]2) If there is ANY reason that you are unable to make it, PLEASE get in touch with me ASAP and don't cancel that registration yet. We've got other forum friends just waiting for one to open and rather than risk a non-egger grabbing it, we can work things out to release the reservation without it costing you and ensuring that another egger gets it.[p]Thanks a bunch,

For those last year who did NOT stay in a cabin, did you find a decent motel? EliShark and I stayed at some local dive..like a motel 6 or something, and both got mites. It was NOT a pretty experience. Would like to find something more, umm, civilized this year. Any good recommendations?[p]mShark

<p />Come on guys, it's March in Ocala. It's a CAMPGROUND! Bring a tent and a sleeping bag like the Borders' contingent. No mites in our sleeping bags Monica! (That stinks, by the way)[p]Seriously, we camped the first year. Had a cabin last year. We couldn't get a cabin this year, and really have no problem camping. [p]I'm looking forward to seeing all you gourmets in March,

I live in Ocala and would not recommend the Ritz at all-nice place but rooms are stinky and beds are not comfy. The Seven Sisters is a wonderful B&B (352)867-1170. The motels in the Silver Springs area are mostly dives from the 50's. I would recommend newer types such as the Hilton, Fairfield Inn, etc. close to I75. If I were going to be in town I would put you in my spare room but we will be on a cruise for my birthday that week.

I'd be more than happy to offer up some space in our cabin, but I think she's going to be full this year. Probably 6-8 couples staying in her.
If the situation changes, I'll let you know ASAP.
What about camping on the cabin lots? Right next to the showers and toilets? I think they 'allow' one tent per cabin site.

mollyshark,the Days Inn? I stayed there at the 1st Eggfest and another 3 weeks after that, tending to family biz. I ended up itching too, but I blamed it on the girl that.....OH, never mind...."mites" sounds a lot better
