Forum Folks
I have been on many different forums, and there are usually people that always argue with each other, and there ALWAYS is a few people that just have to try to "outknowledge" everyone else. This site is full of great people who seem to genuinely enjoy helping others. But, my favorite thing about this forum is the great sense of humor so many of you "EggHeads" have. I recently bought a LBGE, and as of yet I have not given away my old Brinkmann. A serious question here, do any of you Eggers still also use your old charcoal pits for anything?

DannyT,
Yeah, I must admit I sometimes pull my little Weber Smokey Joe out sometimes to evict the mice and wok some shrimp when the large BGE is busy doing something else. I suppose I could use the Mini, but what the heck. My old, large Weber is just across the street but I don't miss it a lick.[p]Kelly Keefe

DannyT,
Sense of humor....What sense of humor? Well, OK....we DO keep Max and Chubby on retainer (slush fund) to provide occasional comic relief. We take care of our own...especially those who we feel especially sorry for.[p]Sense of humor??? Just wait until StumpBaby resurrects himself.[p]Welcome aboard, My Friend. [p]Mike

DannyT,[p]I had originally thought of keeping my old Brinkman when I got the egg but after a few times cooking on the egg I loaded the Brinkman in the back of the truck and gave it away

LawnRanger,
Oh boy you ain't kiddin' about the stumpmeister!!

DannyT,
I'm still hanging on to my pit smoker although I did not use it all summer. A red squirrel has made a home under its cover so I'll just let it be. Diane said the squirrel will make a mess of the smoker.....well, he can have it, I don't care. Now, if that little spunky guy want to mess with my egg, he better watch out, cause I can make squirrel frik-a-see, no problem. Roast his hickory nuts, I will.

My old gasser is still on the porch but I haven't touched it in 5 years. Need to clean it out to give me more room. As for "there are usually people that always
argue" , hang on. We're not immune. We just try to encourage them to deal with it with a duel - shotguns at 3 paces. So far, none of them have returned to their arguing ways - or even returned. -
Welcome aboard DannyT, glad you're here.
As you spend more time on this board and get to know folks, it only gets better![p]john[p]

I keep the electric starter and gloves and air gun in mine. People here are the best!

Gave away.....the truck, or the Brinkman? :0)[p]I'm done for the night.[p]Mike

I use my old gas grill to store my platesetter or grill when I need them out of the way. Keeps the table free to hold my beer, other snacky items and of course, another beer.

DannyT,
Well I'm still new to the forum, and have had my egg for only one week(and 15 pounds gained,) but I have also thought about getting rid of the other pits. Only problem is that I don't have a trailer to haul them off in!!

The wanted posters are too cool - how did you do that? My old next door neighbor & buddy eggor is a Texan - I'd like to do that for him. Care to share? Thanks in advance! Joe

DannyT,[p]I take my Brinkman camping at times. I tell you I might as well not. I fought with that thing for hours to try and maintain temp. I also has to leave other people in charge to keep the fire going while I was conoeing for 3 hours. However the ribs tasted reallt good![p]Eggecutioner

DannyT,
I kept my big grates and cinderblocks to set up a whole hog pit when needed.
