What size turkey can be cooked in a medium egg?

I am preparing to cook my first Thanksgiving Turkey on my medium egg but need to get an idea how big of a turkey I can buy. Any help would be appreciated.[p]

It depends whether you are going to cook it vertically or horizontally. You can cook a larger bird by laying it down.[p]If you cook the bird vertically, it depends on what type stand you select. The Spanek causes the bird to set higher.[p]If the turkey is a wild one or an American Heritage bird, they require more space due to longer legs. Some people remove the legs & wings & cook them separately. [p]I have smoked one each year for many years & they all turned out excellent. I will cook an American Heritage bird from a range in western Kansas.[p]
