I have some black streaks running down the back of my egg from where the daisy wheel has had moisture buildup while cooking, when I lifted the wheel, black streaks ran down the grill and while at temp, its cooked on. Any suggestions on what to use to clean it off…..?

When warm, use simple green....Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

Oven cleaner worked good for me as simple green wouldn't touch it.

Rutland makes a product called Fireplace Glass Cleaner. It cuts through that creosote with ease and does not harm your ceramic. Whatever you do don't use anything scratchy!Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.
