10 lb of coleslaw and 2 of the 3 eight pounders to a potluck attended by 50, way too much food, pulled one to serve and another for guests to take home ...
small turkey Max Max style in XL the next day, didn't ice the breast, instead cooked it breast down with legs pointed towards the south-east that was significant hotter, by fluke. finished with ideal 12* differential between white and dark meat. the streaks are from basting with rich dark dripping ... use my XL most of the time even for small cooks, the extra space makes it so much easier.
some leftover pulled pork for fried rice ...
my daughter tried making corn tortilla from scratch for pulled pork taco.
don't have a tortilla press so she sandwiched the dough ball between two Ziploc sheets and pressed with clear pie dish...
grilled on tawa (thick iron plate from India), came out quite decent....
pulled pork garnished with tomato, cilantro, homemade hot carrot sauce, avocado, lemon juice ...
some leftover turkey for turkey pot pie. followed this simple recipe, with simple home made pie crust. substituted chicken/turkey stock with Max Max gravy, yummy! excuse the deformed Maple Leaf!

It all looks great Gary.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada

Mighty fine efforts there Gary. I know from experience that your pulled pork fried rice is really tasty. It is kind of fun making up your own tortiillas. We picked up the same masa mix from a local latin grocery along with a cast iron tortilla press and I am quite happy with the results.
